The Valleyview and East Business Association Annual General Meeting was held on November 26, 2007 at the Edward Jones office on Oriole Road. In attendance were:
Lynn Vicars
Dale Clark
Ken Blunden
Charlie Jackson
Here are the topics that were discussed.
1. There was a short discussion on the purpose of the association. It was decided that we would keep the association intact by forming a new executive and target a meeting in the spring to look at updating the membership list on the web site and, perhaps look at a new membership drive.
2. It was decided that Ken Blunden from Page Mine would maintain the internet site as he has in the past and the price would stay the same as last year.
3. The mission statement was read and it was decided that the wording and its intent were still valid and would be kept as is.
4. The membership invoice design was reviewed and a decision was made change the naming and dates on the form. Ken Blunden volunteered to update the form as best as possible.
5. There are a few of the V.E.B.A. decals left over that were used for store owners to display in their windows. It will be decided at the next meeting if we need to print more or if it's time to look at other ideas.
6. Membership benefits were discussed and a decision was made that the V.E.B.A. overview sheet is still accurate.
7. The next meeting date was set for Friday March 7, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Edward Jones office on Oriole Road. All are welcome to attend.
8. A new executive was chosen as follows:
President Charlie Jackson
Treasurer Lynn Vicars
Secretary Dale Clark
9. The meeting was adjourned.
